Lawrence Chang

Director of Plant Maintenance

Lawrence Chang, Regional Director of Plant Maintenance, has over 20 years of experience in real estate development, project management, and building material sourcing. He is an alumnus of Iolani High School and holds a bachelor’s in accounting and an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.

His career began in Honolulu with Arthur Andersen and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in Hong Kong, where he consulted for U.S. multinationals entering the China market. At PricewaterhouseCoopers, he managed global restructuring projects for Fortune 500 companies. Later, as Vice President of Product Development for a software startup in New York City, he played a key role in the company’s growth, investor relations, and eventual acquisition by Thomson Reuters Corporation.

Upon returning to Hawaii, Lawrence founded a building material supply company, supporting real estate investors, architects, contractors, and homeowners to optimize building costs and their return on investments.

Currently, he is devoted to enhancing the safety and visual impact of The Plaza Assisted Living communities.
